Joan Ellsworth is a native Utahn who loves to paint the vast and diverse landscape of her state - from the Alpine mountains and lakes to the pastoral farmlands and the unimaginable red rock desserts.  She has had a passion for art since she was a little girl and has been involved in many creative pursuits throughout her life.  In fact, when she was very young she would draw pictures, usually princesses and ponies, on any blank piece of paper she could find.  When the paper supply ran out she would go to her mother’s bookcase and draw little pictures on any page or margin that was big enough!  To her mother’s credit, she never yelled at her for this and in fact was always very supportive of her talent.  

Her current portfolio consists of oil paintings primarily landscapes and stilll life subjects.
